fear.

How fear can blind us.

How fear can starve us.

Wrapping its grip slowly around our consciousness.

It holds steadily so as not to alert its existence.

The initial impact unnoticeable.

The long-term implications are like a virus.

How this virus can stop the world from being seen.

And distort how we see the world.

Yet, this veil doesn’t prevent visibility.

It deceives us of its presence.

Its tight clasp constructs a semi-permanent delusion.

The reversible nature not known until it’s known.

How can we face something that we don’t know exists?

How can we free ourselves from its grip?

Sometimes, self-awareness comes from a void.

Someone or something shines a light on what is missing.

How fear can blind us.

How fear can starve us.

But how quickly fear can turn to hope.
